"As a professor at a Christian college, I hoped my daughter could receive the kind of education I wished my own students had upon entering college: one which is scripturally grounded, rooted in the classics of the western tradition, focused on effective oral and written communication, and intent on facilitating critical thinking skills. Liberty provides this very type of education, and does so in a way which makes learning enjoyable and exciting. Before Liberty, our daughter attended another Christian school, which also had higher-level academics. To accomplish this, however, students did a lot of repetitious busywork, which our daughter found tedious. Conversely, Liberty challenges our daughter academically in a way that makes learning fun. In addition, the small class size at Liberty provides opportunities for the teachers to connect with each student and for the students to connect with each other. This environment cultivates strong character development and promotes good citizenship. We are thankful for Liberty and are excited about our daughter’s educational future in its care." Steve & Amy, enrolled in 2008-09
"With small classes, excellent teachers, rich intellectual material, a great student body and a supportive environment, my sons had a very successful first year at Liberty both socially and academically. They were not only challenged and encouraged, but also fully engaged on many levels and had lots of fun. Liberty is unique among college prep schools in the Twin Cities with its immersion in the classics, logic, Latin, rhetoric, extensive drama, and emphasis on Christian values." L. Alexander, enrolled since 2007-08
"I was very pleased with the opportunities I had to meet the faculty and discuss my son’s progress at Liberty . . . Not only did they know and address their subject matter, but they also acknowledged the role of values in a bigger picture than just within the classroom. It is easy to squelch the spirit of young man, as he is exploring ideas, some of which we know he will find to be in error. It always is tempting to say, “No, that’s not true,” rather than setting the stage for him to discover on his own. But no one on the Liberty faculty, that I could discern, succumbs to that temptation. You encourage my son to examine ideas, from every angle, giving him permission to question in the knowledge and faith that he will come to the ultimate truth . . .The groundwork of lifelong faith rests in each person struggling and wrestling with the world as he finds it. You are helping my son to do that . . he will one day know God as clearly and firmly as you and I do, and when he does, he will be able to reflect on the gifts that you provided, in encouraging him to think." S. Schleifer, enrolled since 2007-08
“We appreciate the small class sizes and dedicated teachers. Our son has been challenged academically in many ways at Liberty, including advanced logic and geometry in 8th grade, which would not be typical curriculum in most middle schools. In addition, he gets a lot of exposure to the fine arts, with music/art/drama being offered yearly, and he is taught from the perspective of a Christian worldview. We are convinced that the classical Christian education he is receiving at Liberty will provide a strong foundation for his future.” The Sauls
"Impressed by the philosophy of classical education, we signed our children up for the very first year, and we've never regretted that decision. Liberty has stretched our kids, helping them to achieve academic levels we never thought possible. The small class sizes have been a blessing -- our son and daughter have received individual attention as well as opportunities to try new things and shine! Best of all, they've grown in character and in their love for the Lord!" Trelevens, enrolled since 2003-04
"Even though my children aren't in school yet, we can't wait to send them to Liberty! As a parent and teacher, I've seen such a difference in our youth group between the kids that attend Liberty and the kids that attend other schools, and we want that for our kids." Leah Unger, teacher and future Liberty parent
"I'm so impressed with the level of teaching at Liberty school. The teacher certainly made this historical event come to life for these kids. They will never forget it. I also loved the lesson that you are never too young (or too old) to stand up for what is right and that anyone can make a difference." Grandparent Linda, after watching her grandson in a 4th/5th grade production, "Newsies"
